I hope everybody is doing well!
Here in Granada is everything still good. It is getting hotter with the day and it is only will get worser. But after two months of sun I can finally call my self tinted.
Next to my work at school, I'm joining a inter cambio for 3 evenings at week. With two other volunteers do I teach English to a small group of nica students. And they look for topics about their culture or anything to discuss with us about in Spanish. It is really fun to do and a great way to learn Spanish. I always have a hard time understanding the locals because they always cut off half of the words and they use a lot of slang.
I started dancing classes a couple of weeks a go and it is a great success. It is hard work but I thing we're getting better in it!:) We can practice a lot when we go out because everybody here knows how to dance. It is so much fun!!
Last weekend my housemate Patricia and I went to the beach. The place was called Masashapa en was so ready to have a lot of tourist with all the hotels en restaurants but there was nobody! We were the only two Gringo's there. We played a lot off jungle speed with the local kids and had a great discussion about Ortega's politic with the owner of a comedor were we had the best fish ever.
Later that night we went to a discotheque with two guys from there who gave us a right on a squad. The next morning did we walk to a other beach and spend the most time in the hammocks of a restaurant in the shadow because it was way too warm in the sun. The bus ride back took us almost 5 hours instead of 2. We happened to take a chicken bus instead of a express bus on one part and that one drove through all the little villages on the way. We also had to stop for at least half an hour because they were working on the road. Luckily everytime that bus stops for a longer time a whole market of streetsellers get in the bus to sell Fresco's and other sweet stuff so it is never boring.
Tomorrow morning at 2am will I leaf for at least 10 days of Guatemala. I'm going with a American guy "Donnie" and a dutch guy "Bart." We are planning to make a round trip through the "Highlands" by visiting Antigua, lake Atlitlan and Coban. Donnie has to be back in Guatamala city at the 13e to flight back home but I'm thinking to stay a week longer and maybe head for Tikal or Belize.(For everybody who was worried about me being in Guatemala. I wont do stupid things and I will avoid chicken buses in the northern Highlands because there are a lot violent robberies there... And don't worry I will not hitch hike:))
i'm so excited to go!!!!!
dale pues!
adios amigos y muchos besos!!
